"With the improvement of people's living standards, consumer demand for fashionable, functional and personalized products is rising, and the trend of integration of technology and fashion will become more apparent." Li Lingshen said.

The latest data show that in 2018, China's total textile fiber processing volume was 54.6 million tons, accounting for more than half of the world's total fiber processing volume; China's textile and apparel export value was US $ 276.73 billion, accounting for more than 36% of the world's total.

“From the supply of raw materials, design and development, to textile processing, finishing, operation and sales, the Chinese textile industry has become the largest industrial sector in the world with the most complete industrial system. The core of intelligence is the integration of material technology, information technology and manufacturing technology. The fourth industrial revolution brought by new manufacturing modes such as manufacturing, digital manufacturing, and network manufacturing will have a profound impact on the future development direction of manufacturing, "said Li Lingshen.

It is worth noting that the 2019 China Textile Federation Science and Technology Education Awards Conference has undergone major adjustments compared with previous years, and the award structure has been further improved to form a reward system for the Technology Invention Award, the Science and Technology Progress Award and the Special Contribution Award (Sangma Scholar). At the same time, the proportion of awards for science and technology awards this year has been significantly reduced to only 48%, which is much lower than about 60% in previous years, and the "gold content" has been significantly improved.
